Priston Mill Watermill in landscaped gardens

If Music Be..

There are few things in this world that evoke emotion more than music and Shakespeare. The latter may be an acquired taste but the former is universally accepted. Choosing the music for your big day is such a great way of creating an atmosphere totally unique and memorable you and to those celebrating with you.
There are two notable parts of your wedding day that warrant a magical song selection; walking down the aisle and the first dance.

Many couples choose to have their ceremony at Priston Mill and so we have been privy to hearing a large and varied selection of pieces accompanying our brides.

A few of our favourites are:

“A Thousand Years” by Christina Perri, performed by The Piano Players
“Canon in D,” by Pachelbel, performed by Jean-Francois Paillard
“Lucky,” by Jason Mraz feat. Colbie Caillat

At Priston Mill we have a Sonos sound-system fitted in each of our unique venues, the Watermill & the Tythe Barn, link.  On the day of your wedding your Event Manager will be happy to take control of the music for you, so that all you need to think about is enjoying your perfectly chosen tune. The system allows us to control the output and volume in different areas, so should you wish, you can enjoy gentle background music during the drinks reception or wedding breakfast.

More often than not the couple choose a First Dance song that already holds significance. Perhaps this is your chance to provide your photographer with a romantic moment for them to capture the  best shot of the day? Or perhaps you see this as a time to be light-hearted and encourage your guests to join you on the floor as soon as possible.
