Lavender lined path leading to the Tythe Barn

Your first glimpse of the majestic Tythe Barn will take your breath away. Here you step back in to a bygone age.

When you step through the archway towards the Tythe Barn you will instantly find yourself a part of its serene, picturesque and private gardens. A perfect wedding location for wedding receptions, civil ceremonies and civil partnerships.

These grounds are surrounded on three sides by ancient stone walled buildings with a small brook completing their boundary. A curved pathway, lined with English lavender cuts through the gardens, leading to the Tythe Barn Parlour. This reception area is cosily furnished with comfortable sofas and chairs, contemporary lighting and a wood burning stove one end. It is here that guests can enjoy meeting and greeting their friends if the weather is inclement for reception drinks and also later for coffee after the wedding breakfast.

Advancing into the Tythe Barn, you will find your gaze settling upon the magnificent, oak-beamed rafters and the spectacular 15m high vaulted roof.  The main floor of the Tythe Barn looks equally striking whether laid up for a ceremony or for a wedding breakfast. Up to 140 can be seated comfortably for the meal here with space for more on the mezzanine. The tables are tastefully clothed in white linen, with linen napkins, cutlery, crockery, table numbers, glassware all included. To personalise your special day the balcony and five wall niches can be decorated with fairy lights, candles or flower arrangements to your own taste.

There is a well-stocked, attractively lit bar (which includes local beer and ciders) complete with two service points.

The atmosphere of this wonderfully versatile venue can easily be transformed for the evening party (max 200) with appropriate lighting and musical entertainment.
