Senior Event Manager

Clara’s journey into hospitality began when she studied Event Management at university in Edinburgh. Following her studies, she went on to manage a gastropub in Wedmore, where she perfected many hospitality skills — including pouring the perfect pint! She also gained unique industry experience working at a glamping site during the world-famous Glastonbury Festival.

Clara joined our sister venue, Coombe Lodge, as an Event Manager in 2018 before progressing to Senior Event Manager at Priston Mill in September 2021. Since then, she has become an invaluable member of the team, bringing a wealth of experience, expertise, and dedication to every wedding and event she oversees.

Passionate about creating unforgettable experiences, Clara loves helping couples bring their vision to life and ensuring every detail is perfectly in place. Her calm, organised, and reassuring approach keeps both our couples and the team feeling relaxed, making her a trusted and much-loved part of the Priston Mill family.



What do you enjoy doing in your spare time? 

I love sport! So I’ll usually be playing or watching it. I also have a beautiful son called Milo who takes up the majority of my spare time now! So you’ll usually find us out for a family walk or on a coffee date with some friends. 

Fun fact about you? 

I have a horse called Harvey who has no front teeth, he walks around with his tongue hanging out all the time! 

What’s at the top of your bucket list? 

Go to Japan! I am addicted to sushi so I would eat my way around every sushi restaurant.

What’s your favourite thing about your job? 

Watching the first dance. The bride and groom are surrounded by their friends and family with so

much love in the room, about to dance the night away. For me it’s knowing that you have done

everything you can to make their day perfect and hope it’s everything they’ve ever dreamed of! 

Top tip? 

Go with your instincts, it’s your day so don’t let too many people sway you with their opinions. The planning can be stressful so try and remember to enjoy it, you’re planning a huge party for the

people you love the most so it should be fun!
