It may not have been the year we planned, but 2020 has been one for the history books.
We have all had to adapt and overcome many challenges this year, but our beautiful wedding venue in Bath has kept busy. We've pivoted the business to welcome guests for Sunday lunch and most importantly, still managed to celebrate a few gorgeous intimate weddings.
We were delighted that we managed to move Josie and Fraser’s celebrations forward before tighter restrictions were brought in. They were so lucky that all their suppliers (and all 30 guests) were available to attend their wedding three days earlier than originally planned!
They went all out with their flower budget having a beautiful meadow garden arrangement in whites and greens for their beautiful wedding here in Somerset. Our countryside barn wedding venue was the perfect backdrop!
Even with a smaller number of guests the celebrations can be just as fun and meaningful – Josie even asked for Shania Twain’s ‘Man I feel like a woman’ to be played during dinner as it was a song that held a personal memory for her. All the guests sang along which was just lovely. This year has certainly been a time to think out of the box.

As restrictions have continued to be in place for the weddings we decided that we would do what we do best – hosting and welcoming guests to our beautiful Tythe Barn, but this time we served them an indulgent Sunday lunch and invited them to relax and explore our beautiful wedding venue near Bath.

Just wanted to say a huge thank you for yesterday. My family and I had a wonderful time. After all the covid nightmares it was so lovely to go out and safely be able to spend some time together.
