When you first walk through the rose-covered arch and along the curved lavender lined path, you will find yourself within serene gardens with views of the ancient Tythe Barn. Dating from the 1720's, this spectacular stone walled barn has been lovingly restored and preserved to create a stunning location for special occasions.

Surrounded on three sides by ancient stone walled buildings, a small brook completes the boundary of the gardens, and beyond endless countryside views which are just perfect for capturing those first moments together as a married couple.
The path which meanders through the Tythe Barn gardens, leads to a large oak door and into the Parlour, a room full of character with its low beams adorned in hundreds of fairy lights, and sumptuous sofas in front of the cast iron stove. This makes for a cosy and inviting atmosphere and the perfect place to meet and greet friends and family or sit and relax during the day. If the weather is inclement it's a lovely spot for reception drinks and also later for coffee after the wedding breakfast, or into the evening festivities.
As you enter the main events space within the Tythe Barn, you will find your gaze settling upon the magnificent, oak-beamed rafters and the spectacular 15-metre high vaulted roof. The main floor of the Tythe Barn looks equally striking, whether laid up for a ceremony or for a wedding breakfast, making this a truly stunning barn wedding venue near Bath.
In the Tythe Barn wedding venue we can comfortably accommodate 80 to 130 guests for a wedding ceremony and wedding breakfast with space for more on the mezzanine giving a total capacity of 150 seated guests. The tables are dressed in white linen, with linen napkins, cutlery, crockery, table numbers, glassware all included. Add a special personal touch to the room with fairy lights, candles or flowers.
Later on, The Tythe Barn wedding venue is transformed for the evening party where up to 200 people can celebrate your big day with you. There is a well-stocked, attractively lit bar which includes local beer and ciders and our Events Team will be on hand throughout, to ensure that you have the most special of days.
